With the increasing demand of diesel cars in India, it is more practical to launch this sedan with the diesel option as well. The petrol variant of Nissan Sunny Sedan is guessed to be 1.5 litre HR15DE producing a maximum power of 108 Bhp and 148 Nm of maximum torque, while the diesel engine is expected to be 1.5 litre Dci common rail turbo engine which claims to produce maximum power up to 105 Bhp. The new Sunny Sedan will not be a Swift Dzire/Etios Sedan/Tata Manza competitor but will actually sit a notch higher to take on the likes of the Honda City, the new Ford Fiesta Sedan and the Hyundai Verna Fluidic.  As for price structure, rumors online suggest that Nissan might be placing the new Sunny Sedan close to the Rs. 7 lakh range. The price structure of the new Sunny Sedan will be a top sales deciding factor as the competition in the C-segment sedan has got very intense with Honda dropping prices on the All New Honda City and the Hyundai Verna Fluidic offering an impressive array of features to choose from.
