Mahindra’s steamy hot new SUV, W201 World SUV will see an Indian launch later this year on September 22nd. This latest update on Mahindra’s upcoming SUV was posted on ICB claiming that an inside source from Mahindra has confirmed the news. As of now we don’t know for sure how much this is true, but if it is true, then the Mahindra W201 SUV priced at Rs. 10.49 lakh is bound to start some huge waves in the segment.

Under the hood of the 2011 Mahindra W201 SUV will be the same 2.2 Liter CRDE engine from the Scorpio tweaked to produce about 136 Bhp and 320 Nm of torque. Also up the line might be a 170bhp engine with a twin turbo, but it is still to early to decide whether or not Mahindra will go forth with the 170 bhp engine.

The new Mahindra W201 SUV will be competing with the soon to be launched Tata Merlin as with the given price range, the Tata Aria is far away to pose any real threat to Mahindra’s new SUV.

Mahindra W201 SUV Price in India (Expected) :

The Mahindra W201 World SUV’s price is expected to start at INR 10.49 Lakhs going all the way up to 12.99 Lakhs for the top end variant, all prices being that of ex-showroom Delhi.
