2012 TOYOTA FORTUNER

2012 TOYOTA FORTUNER ON WAITING  All new 2012 Toyota Fortuner India bound images revealed
After months of waiting, Toyota Motors have finally unveiled the official images of the 2012 Fortuner on their Thailand website earlier yesterday. The Fortuner shown in the images here, will be the same one which will make an entry in India later this year or early next year.

As we see from the images, the new 2012 Toyota Fortuner has sharper finish and the interiors are plusher than before. The Toyota Fortuner has been a successful car with or without the facelift and hence, Toyota Motors has no reason to launch the upgraded version anytime soon.It is the frontend that has undergone maximum change, though the rear end and the interior changes cannot be ruled out. The grille, the headlamps in the front and the bumper are modified to give an edgy finish. The headlights are adorned with projector lamps along with the conventional lights. The front end changes look more effective with the huge chrome grille with horizontal slats.

Now, coming to the interiors, the steering wheel which used to resemble like that of Toyota Innova now looks more like Toyota Camry. The dashboard colour change is also quite evident. It is more evident to Indians more than anybody else as the Toyota Fortuner has been marketed in India locally with beige and wood finish as Indians have an appeal to this combination. The powertrain on the new 2012 Toyota Fortuner is to remain the same with the 3.0 litre D-4D Diesel with Intercooler Turbocharger which puts out 171 PS and 343 Nm.

Toyota has recently updated its Corolla Altis and just launched its first hatchback the Etios Liva in the Indian car market. The company has been updating and further diversifying its product range.  The new 2012 Toyota Fortuner is likely to get an option of a seven-speed CVT and a sunroof.
