TATA PLANING TO LAUNCH NANO DIESEL EARLY 2012

Almost two years after launching the petrol version of its small creation Tata Nano in the Indian market, Indian auto giant Tata Motors is now planning to launch the diesel version of this car in the country.The engine capacity of the Nano Diesel is speculated to be in the range of 600 to 700 cc and the Nano Diesel will boast the world’s smallest Bosch Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDi) system.

BMW CONFIRMS TO LAUNCH MINI ON NEXT YEAR

Honda will be launching its new hatchback, the Honda Brio in India on the 27th of September 2011. The launch of the Brio in India is just ahead of the festive season starting in early October during which car sales will be at its peak in India. The new car from Honda’s stable will compete with Maruti’s Swift, Volkswagen’s Polo, Ford’s Figo, Hyundai’s i10 and Toyota’s Liva.

Toyota Motors have now finally confirmed the launch date for Toyota Etios Sedan Diesel and Liva Hatchback Diesel in India for the 9th of September, 2011. Talking to The Economic Times, Mr Sandeep Singh, Deputy Marketing Director of Marketing at Toyota confirmed the launch date for the diesel version of the Etios and the Liva on the 9th of September, 2011.

The Tata Indigo e-CS sports a all new CR4 Common Rail Diesel engine that has a displacement of 1396 cc delivering 70 PS @ 4000 RPM. With a higher torque of 140 NM at a lower 1800-3000 RPM, improvements in gear ratios, clutch-to-start and reduction in the weight of the car by around 10 kg, the Tata Indigo e-CS VX ensures better pickup.

Suzuki has revealed a performance variant of its Swift, called the Swift Sport. The Japanese carmaker will unveil the car at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September.

The 2 door sports car hatchback has an updated 1.6 Litre high performance engine M16A which produces a max power of 134.1 BHP @ 6900 RPM and maximum torque of 160 Nm @ 4400 RPM. The exterior dimensions remain same as the new generation Swift at 3890mm length, 1695mm width and 1510mm height. The wheelbase also remains same at 2430 mm with the front and rear track width being 1470mm and 1475mm respectively.

News of the new 2011 Maruti Suzuki Swift being launched in June-July 2011 was first brought in by an ICB reader. And now we have confirmed this fact from a Maruti dealer in Mumbai. According to the dealer, the new 2011 Swift will be launched during June-July 2011 and that deliveries would start within one month from the date of launch.
